The focus of the audio in this story is to tell first-hand what the players felt during this entire event. Domenico’s first hand story telling will allow for viewers to imagine what he endured and by overlapping the audio of the game it allows for the viewer to feel the atmosphere with the crowd roaring. The music that will be selected will go with what the viewer is supposed to feel, for example a scary note would be used on Marco’s red card. Sound effects will also be integrated like risers before a penalty shot and muffling all other audios right as the player kicks but adding a ball kicking sound effect to make it feel like Domenico describes “everything just goes mute around you. Its only you and the goalie”.

So that was a pretty surreal experience.
Started in the first game up in the stands right over there and I just missed out one spot out of the 18. The boys were lining up. I had these weird mixed feelings of like rooting for the guys, wanting them to kill it, but at the same time wishing that I was on the field with them. Unfortunately, our captain, Jan, got injured. There was a little piece of me that was like, well, perhaps we might be getting in the finals, the national finals. And I got a call from John Antulov, head coach, at around 11 a.m. And I can vividly remember exact words he said. And he was just like, be ready to go. We were doing pretty well up until the 60th minute. We ended up getting a red card. And now it’s like, what’s going to happen here? It was a little bit scary because we thought we were, you know, in the finals, you’re down a man, the chances of you winning that game, it definitely becomes more slim and then Mikkel gets injured and all of a sudden, I’m going into the match, a match that I never thought I’d get the chance to play in. I really zoned out. I remember like looking at the fans and then all of a sudden just being zoomed in on the game and thinking about nothing else. Joost made this like dancing run along the sidelines from coast to coast, like literally from R18 to the other 18. Whips it across the box and I’m just standing on the opposite corner. I can see this whole build up of the play. My emotions are getting up there. I can feel like a goal coming. And he whips it, this perfect ball across. Alessandro just slides it right into the goal. And I was like, of course, of course it has to be tougher. It can’t end just like this. Ball slips in. We go into a penalty shootout. I wasn’t expecting to shoot whatsoever. I really didn’t do well in the training sessions scoring penalties. A lot of the guys were scoring more than me. First shooter, second shooter, third shooter, fourth shooter, fifth shooter. I vividly remember Johnny Rinaldi stepping up. He had to make the most clutch penalty. If he misses, we lose. Stepped up, slotted in the corner. After Johnny scored, Connor on UBC misses. That’s when I was like, oh my gosh, like I could win a national championship for TRU here with this penalty. Me, Joost and Alessandro are standing at half with our arms over each other as Johnny’s going up to shoot and we’re having this dialogue where Joost is talking, Alessandro’s talking. We’re like, we should take this, we should take this. And then Alessandro says, just go hit it, buddy.
